Cat Food
Your Ragdoll’s health and nutrition are very important! Wet food is especially beneficial, providing extra hydration for your cat. Not all pet foods are created equal, and many contain fillers that can be harmful over time. Ragdolls can be picky eaters, so you may need to switch flavors or brands to find what your cat enjoys.
At Chosen Paws Ragdolls, our cats currently eat Dave’s Canned Cat Food and American Journey, which we trust for quality and nutrition.

Cat Food Brand Reviews: Cats.com provides a comprehensive review of many wet and dry cat foods. Choosing a high-quality food that fits your budget is important, and this resource is a great place to review options for your cat.
We recommend purchasing the 12.5 oz cans to save money. They store safely in the fridge and can be warmed by mixing with warm water before serving.

American Journey: Buy on Chewy
When transitioning your Ragdoll to a new cat food, mix a small amount of the new food with their current food and gradually increase the new food over 7–10 days until the switch is complete.
Cat Litter
With a multi-cat household, we switched to Catalyst about a year ago. We love how it holds in odors and keeps our home smelling fresh. Unlike typical cat litter, it has a pleasant woodsy scent rather than a strong chemical smell. Ragdolls can be sensitive to dust, so it’s important to choose a low or dust-free brand to keep their respiratory system healthy and your home clean.

Buy Catalyst Cat Litter on Chewy or Amazon
We recommend starting your kitten on Catalyst since he/she has been using it, then, if preferred, slowly transitioning to your preferred litter brand. You can adjust gradually by mixing a small amount of the new litter in with Catalyst and slowly increasing the ratio over several days until your Ragdoll is fully transitioned.
Digestion Aids
We recommend FortiFlora probiotic supplements and a small amount of plain canned pumpkin to support your Ragdoll’s digestive health. Both can help maintain regularity, aid in digestion, and keep your kitten’s tummy happy. FortiFlora is especially helpful when you bring a new kitten home, as stress can sometimes cause diarrhea.
