Ragdoll Temperaments
Ragdolls are known for their sweet, gentle, and affectionate temperaments. They’re often described as “puppy-like” because they love being near their people and will happily follow you from room to room. Unlike some independent cat breeds, Ragdolls thrive on companionship and enjoy being part of the daily household routine.

Playful yet laid-back, Ragdolls love interactive toys and gentle playtime but are just as content lounging on a cozy cat tree, watching the world go by. Their easygoing nature makes them a wonderful match for families, including homes with children, dogs, or other cats. Ragdolls typically get along well with other pets, often becoming fast friends and enjoying shared play or quiet naps together.

Because of their calm and trusting personalities, Ragdolls are often described as “lap cats” who love to be cuddled and handled. Their affectionate, social nature makes them excellent companions for those looking for a cat that truly enjoys being part of the family.

Meet Our King and Queen

KING
Solomon
Solomon, our handsome blue (lynx) point/mitted Ragdoll, is affectionately known as “the wisest cat who ever lived.” Highly intelligent, social, and endlessly affectionate, he loves being part of every moment and charms everyone he meets with his calm confidence and gentle nature.

QUEEN
Zaraphina ("Zara")
Zara is a stunning blue (lynx) point/bi-color Ragdoll with striking blue eyes and an irresistibly soft, silky coat. Gentle and affectionate, she has a sweet, docile nature and loves evenings filled with cozy snuggles. With her calm spirit and loving personality, Zara truly is the heart of our cattery.
Our Ragdoll Kittens Colors & Patterns
At Chosen Paws Ragdolls, our breeding plan includes blue bi-color and mitted ragdolls
with lynx overlay.
Color
Our Ragdoll cats have soft, medium-to-long fur and the classic blue point coloration. This means they have an ivory-colored body with darker blue or silvery-gray points on their ears, face, legs, and tail. Like all Ragdolls, our cats are pointed, which gives them their distinctive, elegant look.

A Ragdoll’s color deepens gradually until about age two. Kittens are born mostly white, and their point colors slowly emerge and intensify as they grow, reaching full richness by adulthood.
Pattern
Our Ragdoll kittens feature either the bicolor or mitted patterns, each enhanced with a lynx (tabby) pattern. The lynx markings add a beautiful, striking stripes to the point areas, giving each kitten a distinctive and eye-catching look.
Colorpoint Ragdolls are known for their striking dark face mask and lack of white markings on their paws. While beautiful, this variation is not currently part of our breeding program.
Bicolor
Our bicolor Ragdolls display a beautiful inverted white “V” on their face, which blends into a darker-colored mask. They typically have white on their chest, belly, and legs, giving them a charming, symmetrical appearance.

Mitted
Our mitted Ragdoll kittens feature the traditional pointed pattern along with adorable white "mittens" on their front paws and white boots on their back legs. Many also have a white chin and belly stripe, adding to their sweet expression.

Genetic DNA Tested and Cleared
At Chosen Paws Ragdolls, our breeding plan includes DNA testing
At Chosen Paws Ragdolls, the health and well-being of our cats are our top priorities. All of our breeding Ragdolls are tested and confirmed negative for FIV/FeLV. In addition, our breeding cats are DNA tested through Optimal Selection and are clear of the major genetic conditions known to affect the Ragdoll breed, including Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) and Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD).
Upon request, DNA test summaries will be provided to verified adopters after a deposit has been received.

When you adopt from us, you can feel confident knowing your kitten comes from healthy, responsibly screened parents with a lineage of care and integrity behind them.

Because we believe education is part of responsible ownership, we also want our adopters to understand the most common health conditions that can affect Ragdolls and how we work to prevent them through selective, transparent breeding.
Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM)
A common heart condition in cats that can lead to heart failure, blood clots, or sudden death. Responsible breeding includes screening for HCM to help minimize risk.
Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD)
A hereditary condition that causes cysts to develop in the kidneys. All of our breeding cats are tested clear to ensure healthy, long-lived companions.

Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) & Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV)
FIV and FeLV are contagious viral infections that weaken a cat's immune system and can significantly impact long term health. All of our breeding cats are tested and confirmed negative for FIV and FeLV to ensure a healthy, protected cattery environment.
